Ultrasound

Decreases pain, increase tissue elasticity, degrades scar, increases cellular activity and increases circulation.

Electrical Stimulation

Decreases pain, increases circulation and decreases edema.

TENS Unit

Home electrical stimulation unit designed to provide pain relief only.

Iontophoresis

System of medication delivery to focal regions using electrical current.

Phonophoresis

The use of the mechanical properties of ultrasonic waves to deliver medication to focal regions.

PROCEDURES

Manual Therapy

Techniques to degrade scar, promote relaxation, decrease pain and increase tissue elasticity.

Joint Mobilization

A variety of techniques involving the application of pressure to facilitate an increase in motion and/or proper alignment of a joint (spinal or extremity).

Muscle Energy Techniques

The selective use of passive and active soft tissue tension to facilitate an increase in motion and/or proper alignment of a joint (spinal or extremity).

Myofascial Release

The selective use of pressure and passive tissue tension to facilitate tissue relaxation, flexibility, and relieve pain.

Therapeutic Exercise

Specialized programs to address specific deficits in strength, flexibility, endurance, balance, proprioception, and coordination deficits.warm up.

  • Gait training
  • Balance exercises
  • Transfer training
  • Bed mobility training
  • Postural education/training
  • Neuromuscular Re-education

The use of therapeutic techniques for the purpose of improving impaired movement, balance, coordination, decreased kinesthetic sense, and impaired proprioception

Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation or PNF

Reprograms the nervous system by stimulating proprioceptors, which are the receptors in the joint that communicate information about body position to the brain by way of the motor nervous system via sensory nerves, and also by employing a series of diagonal contract-relax stretching patterns to assist increase of movement.

ONE ON ONE

At Reaction Rehab Physical Therapy, only physical therapists and physical therapist assistants care for patients. There are no double booked schedules. At Reaction Rehab, patients receive expert, one on one, attention. Every day, for as long as it takes.

No, this is not the least expensive way to do business. But it is in the best interest of the patients and the best interest of the physical therapists. New therapists can take the extra time to understand what is happening with their patients, to explore treatment options, and to consult with colleagues. Learning is facilitated. Our therapists are not on a treadmill, running hard to meet a production quota. Our therapists are focused on each patient; focused on offering the best care possible.

At Reaction Rehab Physical Therapy, we make people better.
